ASEP REGISTRATION INFORMATION & POLICIES
The Cabrillo PTO is delighted to offer a variety of after-school enrichment opportunities for students and families. We’ve partnered with a great lineup of providers to offer engaging, hands-on classes on campus.
WE OWE A HUGE THANKS to the Boys and Girls Club for helping provide many of our instructors with insurance this year to comply with increased requirements set forth by our district. Without their assistance, many of our individual teachers would have been completely excluded. We owe them! Please say thank you if you see them.
You will be able to find classes and all of the registration information on Homeroom. Homeroom provides an easy and organized way to see up-to-date information on offered after school activities.
Before registering, please review the following:
1. REGISTRATION Students must be officially enrolled to attend an ASEP class. If a student is not registered, the instructor or Cabrillo front office will contact the emergency contact on their yellow form for pickup.
2. CLASS COMMUNICATION After registration, all class-specific communication will come directly from the enrichment provider.
3. TRANSITIONS Please notify your child’s teacher and aftercare program of their ASEP enrollment. Families are responsible for planning their child’s transitions between programs.
4. TK/K STUDENTS TK/K students will be met at their classroom and escorted to their enrichment class. After class, they will be escorted to their onsite aftercare program (PB&R or Boys & Girls Club), if applicable. Due to the updated bell schedule, TK/K classes will run from 12:20–1:20 p.m. through October 9 and from 1:20–2:20 p.m. beginning October 12. Some TK/K classes will not begin until October 12 due to space availability.
5. GRADES 1–8 Students in grades 1–8 are responsible for getting to their enrichment class after school. First graders may benefit from a morning reminder or walking with a buddy. For non-Wednesday classes with staggered release times, grades 1–3 will have a supervised period from 2:20–2:45 p.m. Instruction begins at 2:45 p.m. Snacks are not guaranteed, so students should bring one if needed.
6. AFTERCARE TRANSPORTATION ASEP providers cannot transport students to offsite aftercare programs, including Boys & Girls Club for grades 1–8. Families are responsible for arranging transportation.
7. ILLNESS If a student becomes sick, they will be sent to the school office and their emergency contact will be called for pickup.
SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE! NEW THIS YEAR: ASES scholarship funds are available at the district level. If your child is excited about an enrichment class but it doesn’t fit your family’s budget this year, please contact Principal Robin Pang-Maganaris at rpang@pacificasd.org to learn more.

PAYMENT OPTIONS Installment payments are also available through Affirm (Buy Now, Pay Later), allowing families to pay over time with no fees to the vendor or user.
