Good morning Cabrillo –
I hope that you all saw and read our Superintendent, Dr. Heather Olden’s updates regarding the start of school and some questions for which we still seek answers. Thank you for your patience, as we are working as fast as we can to get information out to you.
I want to give you an update on field trips this year, as I know that is a question on your minds. Unfortunately, both 5th grade Outdoor Education, as well as Yosemite have already been cancelled this year by the organizations that run them. I am very sorry to deliver this news.
Refunds will be processed for last year’s fourth grade excursion to Sacramento. As fourth grade families know, we were holding out in case we could go at the start of this year, but that has proven to be impossible.
Regarding future trips – we have our fingers crossed that we will be approved to take field trips in the future. We will keep you posted and I hope that my next field trip email has better news; however safety of all is the highest priority.
